The journey is guided by Steve Hoegerman. See his great website at www.frenchfestival.com/journeys.html. After the trip, we went on our own to London.

 London Eye.

A nice way to get a view of the city from above.

The view down the Thames from the London Eye.

.

The first new bridge over the Thames in over 100 years. Open one day. Closed for repairs. See next signs.

The first sign is the standard British sign. The second suggests a nervous scaffold.

The new roof over the central court of the British Museum. The round part is the Reading room where Karl Marx, among others, have worked in the last 150 years.

The roof of the courtyard from the outside. The center dome is the ceiling of the Reading Room.

A fine British Pub meal. The food is not as good as in France but the beer is better.
